KAMAL NATH CONVENES REVIEW MEETING ON EXPORTS

Shri Kamal Nath, Union Minister of Commerce and Industry, has convened a Review Meeting on Export Performance here on 18th October, 2005. The meeting will be attended by the heads of all Export Promotion Councils and Commodity Boards, among others.
The meeting has been convened in the context of the objectives spelt out in the Foreign Trade Policy 2004-09 of doubling India’s exports by 2009 and enlarging India’s share of the world market for both goods and services.
The discussions will focus on the trends during the current financial year 2005-06 and strategies for accelerating exports in the coming months.
