KAMAL NATH TO INTERACT WITH JAPANESE COMPANIES ON INVESTMENT OPPORTUNITIES ALONG WITH CM, MADHYA PRADESH

Shri Kamal Nath, Union Minister of Commerce & Industry, will participate in an interactive session with Japanese companies working in India, here tomorrow along with the Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh, Shri G. Babu Lal Gaur to focus particularly on investment opportunities in Madhya Pradesh. The meeting will be attended by top Japanese companies located in India, along with the Japanese Ambassador; Chairman of the Indo-Japan Chamber of Commerce, and senior officials from Government of India and the State of Madhya Pradesh. The interactive session is being organised by the Government of Madhya Pradesh in association with the Department of Industrial Policy & Promotion (DIPP), Ministry of Commerce & Industry.

It is in pursuance of Shri Kamal Nath’s initiative to promote Madhya Pradesh as an investment destination that the Government of Madhya Pradesh has launched a significant exercise to project investment opportunities in the State jointly with the DIPP.

Recently, a delegation comprising the Japanese Ambassador to India Mr. Yasukoni Enoki; the Chairman of the Indo-Japan Chamber of Commerce (Chairman, Mitsui) Mr. Miyachi; Senior Investment Adviser from the Japan Bank of International Cooperation (JBIC), Mr. Seito; Senior Adviser from Japan External Trade Organisation (JETRO), Mr. Kuboki and the Bureau Chief of Japanese Economic Newspaper, Nikkil, in Delhi Mr. Yanada visited Indore and Bhopal. They familiarized themselves with various industrial and economic developments in Madhya Pradesh as well as the new Special Economic Zone (SEZ) at Indore. The delegation also visited the world heritage sites of Bhimbhetka and the Buddhist site of Sanchi which are of great interest to the Japanese tourists. The interactive session is aimed at carrying forward this endeavour.
