PUBLIC NOTICE
A Grievance Redressal Committee has since been set up to improve the efficiency of Directorate General of Foreign Trade (DGFT) as a facilitator of Imports and Exports. It was also notified that the Committee shall devise modalities for its functioning and shall meet once in a fortnight to attend to the grievances. It was also mentioned that the Exporters shall send all grievances to the Committee in Electronic form, besides all other normal modes.
2. In Pursuance to the above, representations to the Committee may be forwarded in the form of e-mail at grc@ub.nic.in or by post addressed to the Chairman of the Committee (Shri Gopal K. Pillai, Additional Secretary and Chairman, Grievance Redressal Committee, Room No. 143, Udyog Bhavan, New Delhi). The application of the aggrieved party must contain the name of the applicant, IEC No., Address (with contact Nos. and e-mail ID), the details of reference to DGFT if made earlier for redressal of the grievance, and the grounds of the grievance, in brief.
3. The Committee will seek to redress the grievance by considering applications received in its meetings scheduled to be held on the second and fourth working Tuesdays of the month. The complainants would be able to see the status of their applications on the Website of Department of Commerce (http://commerce.nic.in).
